Muthukandiya in the Uva province in Sri Lanka, which is one of the least populated areas in Sri Lanka.  Some of its most visited tourist attractions include the Dunhinda falls, Rawana falls and the Yala national park among others . The Gal Oya hills and the central mountains and the  imposing Senanayake and Maduru Oya reservoirs feed the whole of Uva province.
