Mullaitivu is a small fishing hamlet on the north-eastern coast of Sri Lanka. It is an anchoring harbour of the small sailing vessels transporting goods between Colombo and Jaffna. Free from the ravages of war, these areas formerly controlled by the LTTE, has now been made accessible to the public. The recently announced Mullaitivu wildlife sanctuary will be one of the best attractions here.
